Bronkhorst have been the pioneer in the field of micro to low flow liquid metering instruments based on a thermal mass flow measuring principle. A wealth of experience has been gathered which has resulted in three product series that cover Full Scale flow ranges from 75 mg/h up to 20 kg/h. With the introduction of the CORI-FLOW series we expanded our liquid flow measurement and control capacities to 600 kg/h, using a Coriolis type mass flow sensor with unsurpassed performance. With ranges down to 0,05…5 g/h for the mini CORI-FLOW series, we have become a true (ultra) low flow specialist.

Our ES-FLOW liquid flow meter for 4…1500 ml/min operates on an innovative ultrasonic measuring principle. This liquid flow meter can be combined with a control valve or pump to constitute a compact liquid dosing device.

Additionally Bronkhorst develops a unique series of (ultra) low flow Coriolis mass flow meters and controllers. These flow meters and controllers are fluid independent and can be used for both gases as well as liquids.

Vapour Flow Control

Our unique and patented ‘CEM’ technology, which stands for Controlled Evaporation Mixing, is developed for accurate vapour flow control. Traditional bubbler systems are often not capable of handling sufficient quantities of liquid with a low vapour pressure, or perform in an imperfect way. Moreover, they cannot instantaneously provide vapour of a mixture of liquids with different vapour pressures. These issues are overcome with our vapour delivery solutions.

Meters & Controllers for Pressure

Bronkhorst digital electronic pressure transducers and controllers for gases and liquids have a well-proven compact thru-flow design. The instruments include a diaphragm type piezo-resistive pressure sensor for accurate and reliable absolute, relative (gauge) or differential pressure measurement. Various integrated or separate control valves can be offered for specific field of application there are different series of control valves. There is a standard direct acting valve for common applications, a pilot operated valve for high flow rates, the so-called Vary-P valve that can cope with up to 400 bar ΔP and a bellows valve for applications with very low differential pressure.
For specific fields of application, our customers may prefer to apply a metal sealed version, a rugged IP65 version, a microfluidic instrument or the most field proven, allround EL-PRESS series.

CORI-FLOW™ Coriolis Mass Flow Meters / Controllers

CORI-FLOW™ series mass flow meter / mass flow controller are designed to provide high accuracy. CORI-FLOW™ utilizes a patented, advanced Coriolis type direct mass flow sensor to achieve unsurpassed performance, even with changing operation conditions in pressure, temperature, density, conductivity and viscosity. Control valves can either be close-coupled, to measure and control mass flow ranges from:

  • lowest range 0,2…5 kg/h
  • up to highest range 6…600 kg/h

The control valve design distinguishes itself from competitive designs in its truly modular construction and it can be field replaced or changed by the user without any adjustment. The standard valve is normally closed and is available up to Kv-values of 1.5. Normally opened valves can also be supplied.

LIQUI-FLOW™ Thermal Mass Flow Meters / Controllers for Liquids

LIQUI-FLOW™ digital Liquid Flow Meters/Controllers for low flow ranges operate on a thermal, through-flow measuring principle. The instruments are equipped with a digital pc-board, featuring self-diagnostics, alarm and counter functions, digital communication (RS232) and a variety of fieldbus options.

Liquid mass flow meters of the LIQUI-FLOW™ series are built around a stainless steel tube without any moving parts or obstructions. The heater/sensor assembly is arranged around the tube and, by following the anemometric principle, a constant difference in temperature (ΔT) is created and the energy required to maintain the ΔT is dependent on the mass flow rate. Due to the benefits of the unique patented sensor, the fluid will be warmed to a maximum of 5°C, thereby making the LIQUI-FLOW™ Series suitable for fluids with low boiling points.

  • Lowest range 0,25 … 5 g/h
  • Highest range 20 … 1000 g/h for fluids with thermal properties similar to H2O

Liquid Flow Controllers
Flow control is achieved by integrating a control valve onto the body of the Liquid Flow Meter. This control valve has a purge connection to eliminate air or gas during start-up. The electronic control function forms part of the normal circuitry in the meter.

µ-FLOW Mass Flow Meters and Controllers for Liquids

Measurement / Control of Ultra Low Flow Rates
µ-FLOW digital Liquid Flow Meters/Controllers for low flow ranges operate on a thermal, through-flow measuring principle. The instruments are equipped with a digital pc-board, featuring self-diagnostics, alarm and counter functions, digital communication (RS232) and a variety of fieldbus options.

Liquid mass flow meters of the µ-FLOW series are built around a stainless steel tube without any moving parts or obstructions. The heater/sensor assembly is arranged around the tube and a constant power is applied to warm up the liquid inside the tube. Flowing liquid results in shift of the temperature difference (ΔT) which is proportional to the mass flow. Due to the benefits of the applied sensor, the fluid will be warmed to a maximum of 5°C, thereby making the µ-FLOW Series suitable for fluids with low boiling points.

  • Lowest range 5 … 100 mg/h
  • Highest range 0,1 … 2 g/h (fluids with thermal properties similar to H2O)
